Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means that D3 is stored in fatty tissue - especially in fatty fish. It also means that vitamin D3 is best absorbed if it is dissolved in fatty acids, like olive oil. That's why the Vegan D3 from Green Vitamins contains extra virgin olive oil in the capsules.

Vitamin D3 is also called "the sunshine vitamin", as the sun's rays cause the skin to convert cholesterol to Vitamin D3. However, the Danish weather is not always sunny, so we often do not get enough vitamin to cover our needs.

Vegan D3 has been developed with cholecalciferol from vegan Lichen extract. Vitamin D3 is one of the most important vitamins that maintains our immune system. At the same time, vitamin D3 provides an appropriate calcium-phosphorus balance in the blood and promotes the formation of bone tissue by helping the body absorb calcium from the diet.
